If you are looking for some of the best pancakes in Orange County, CA then you have to try The Original Pancake House in Anaheim. Normally I do not consider myself a pancake person, I am usually more of an eggs Benedict or Belgian Waffle kind of a guy. However, The pancakes at The Original Pancake House are legit. My wife loves blueberry pancakes (shown above) and their blueberry pancakes served with blueberry compote is delicious.
My favorite dish is their 49ers flap jacks (shown above). It is a thin pancake that is nicely browned on the outside but still gooey and chewy on the inside. Topped with a little whipped butter and some maple syrup and you got yourself the best pancakes in Orange County.
What breakfast would be complete without some crispy hash browns? The hash browns at The Original Pancake House is nice and crispy on the outside but still moist and fluffy on the inside.
Another great dish is their biscuits and white gravy. Definitely not for the customers that are counting their calories, this goes really well if you order their meat platters and you aren’t in the mood for pancakes.
One piece of advise is make sure you go early or make sure you are prepared to wait because this place is always packed.
