If you visit Maui you MUST visit Mama’s Fish House! I just got back from my honeymoon and I tried a lot of restaurants on Maui and by far Mama’s Fish House takes #1. Now please note that this restaurant is not cheap, but it is well worth the investment. The restaurant sits right on a private beach so after you eat or while you wait you can go and enjoy the ocean view or even run in the water. The view is just amazing!
If you like Pina coladas then you will love their Mango Pina Colada! My wife and I started off our meal with the Sashimi Appetizer which was great. They serve each fish with a different sea salt which brings out the unique flavor of the fish. This is a great way to start off your meal and wet your appetite.
For my entree I had the crab stuffed mahimahi topped with a lobster tail. The entree itself was $49 but well worth it, the lobster is cooked perfectly and the fish was divine!
To finish off the meal my wife and I split the famous Black Pearl. This dessert is just wrong (in a good way). It has a cream center surrounded by chocolate moose and covered in a dark chocolate shell. The pearl sits on a bed of whipped cream and macadamia nuts inside of a waffle type clam shaped shell. The whole thing sits on a pool of dark chocolate, white chocolate, and passion fruit sirup…. and yes, it tasks as good as it looks.
