Lobster is by far one of my favorite animals to eat. I love lobster so much I’ve actually considered moving out of sunny Orange County, CA to move to Maine just for the lobster. Since most restaurants charge an arm and a leg for lobster I learned how to cook it myself, which is the most cost effective way to enjoy lobster. The only down side about home made lobster is the fact that you actually have to be at home and have enough time to cook it right. This brings me to why I am writing a positive review about the Lobsta Truck which I got to try recently.
The only way to describe the the lobster roll is buttery perfection! Their lobster is cooked perfectly and the roll itself is simple yet delicious. There are only three ingredients (lobster + butter + toasted roll). My only complaint is that the roll by itself is not enough (at least not for me), that is why I got one of the lobster rolls and one of the crab rolls. Both the lobster roll and the crab roll are mouth wateringly tasty, you really cannot go wrong with either one. However, for the true seafood lovers out there you HAVE to try them both.
The lobster roll is $12 and the crab roll is $11, not exactly the cheapest meal but I have no problem handing over $23 for a great meal that I would have had to pay $40+ at a nice restaurant to eat the same quality of food. If you aren’t the type that needs to eat that much then just get one of the rolls and you can always pair it with one of their other great dishes (i.e. lobster bisque). The picture above was taken in Irvine at 70 Technology Dr. Irvine, every Thursday for lunch there is a small food truck gathering and this was the first time I saw the Lobsta Truck there. I’ve also seen the Lobsta Truck in Brea at the Best Buy off Imperial Hwy. To find the Lobsta Truck check out their website for an up to date schedule.
